Hola,

It's me again...David. I grew up in the diverse and dope town of Montclair, NJ, to a creative family of yellow lab lovers and skilled chefs. I definitely got the creative/yellow-lab-loving part, but sadly, have yet to find my footing as a chef. In time, perhaps. I've been told that as a a toddler one of my favorite sayings was "I don't mind doing that," and now as a NYC-dwelling, culture-loving, writer, DJ, event producer, and twenty-something, I try to tackle life with the same open-minded curiosity. My travels have taken me from the icy tundra that is Syracuse University, where I received a degree in sociology; to Barcelona, where I received a degree in, uh, "nightlife studies"; all the way to Brooklyn where I've immersed myself in a variety of creative communities, scenes, and spaces.

Whether i'm traveling down to Cuba to immerse myself in the country's music culture while on assignment for VICE (ask me about the time I ended up at a Santeria ritual while digging for vinyl), throwing a party deep in Bushwick, working with a (cool) brand, or writing a review of the next album you need to be listening to, I'm always on the look out for culture that truly matters. Check out some of the links below to hear and see more. Peace.
